Attune

Listen.

Next time you find yourself walking around Cleveland – say, from your office to the polish boy cart down the street and back – attune yourself to the noise around you. What do you hear? Cars, surely. Footsteps. Shouting. A non-sequitur “Here We Go, Brownies” chant, likely enough. The scattering of a small flock of birds above Public Square. Maybe laughter.

Sounds can be pleasant and sounds can be harsh. But have you ever found yourself walking around Cleveland and hearing no sounds? What would that be like?
